My greatest joy is serving others.
Photography is my first love. As a child I was obsessed with my family's 110mm and 35mm point and shoot cameras. I documented all the family vacations. I became serious about photography at 12 years old when I bought my first all manual 35mm film SLR camera with money saved from years of recycling. In Jr High I enrollied in a teen oriented photography class at a Sacramento State University. I would spent the rest of my life wanting to play and explore with cameras.
My professional photography career developed along side my love for for working in film and theatre in 2008. Having worked as a production assistant on films and stagehand for theatre I've now photographed 150+ theatrical plays, 150+ circuses, 25+ weddings, and dozens and dozens of movie sets, conferences, festivals, fashion shows, and other large events.
I performed in professional sketch and improv troupes for 3 years 2008-2011. I spent 3 years photographing The Sac City Rollers roller derby league 2010-2013. I've worked as a roustabout and clown of The Vespertine Circus for since 2011. I've worked with artists and fire performers while photographing Burning Man since 2011. I disappear into the woods with faeries and mermaids as often as I can.
My passion is quick sincere human connection and contagious joy. I've found a way to use my eye for composition and light with my technical knowledge of cameras to serve and connect with people. I want to continue this work for the rest of my life.
